I build
alongside founders.

I’ve built a company and taken it to an exit, so I know what actually moves an early startup — and more often than not, it isn’t more capital. It’s having someone who has shipped take real ownership of the hard part. So that’s what I invest: time, judgment, and the work itself, in a couple of teams a year. The problem matters to me more than the terms — and I say no to most.

How I work

In the build, not on the sidelines.

  • 01

    I take the hard part

I own the product — or its toughest technical core — as a hands-on partner. Architecture, the build, the calls that decide whether it ships. Not oversight from a distance; the actual work.

  • 02

    Judgment that saves months

Architecture reviews, technical due diligence, and the decisions a team can’t easily un-make. The kind of help I wish I’d had earlier.

  • 03

    Aligned by design

I work for a stake, not a rate card — so I only win if you do. The problem matters to me more than the terms; those we shape to fit.

What fits

Where my time compounds.

  • Tech at the core

Software startups where the product is the technology — AI-native tools, mobile, on-device ML, real-time systems. My wheelhouse, and where my time compounds.

  • Early, but real

A prototype, first users, a sign the market’s pulling. I invest in momentum, not slide decks — the earlier the stage, the more the fundamentals have to be there.

  • Founders with skin in the game

I put my time on the line, so I look for people doing the same. A market, a plan, and your own stake in it — not “build it all for equity” as the whole plan.

I’ve been in the founder’s chair through an exit and the ventures since, so when I back a team it’s hands-on, in the build with you — a few at a time, and only when I believe in it. If that’s the kind of partner you’re after, let’s talk.
